Voice-activated dialing setup
Vo i c e - a c t i vated dialing is always on once you have pro-
grammed the phone to accept voice dialing entri e s .To
place vo i c e - a c t i vated dialing calls, p ress and hold .Then say
the name into the phone after you hear the voice pro m p t
and the beep.
You can also initiate a voice dialing call by simply opening
the phone, when this option is selected through the Main
m e nu .
To ch a n ge voice dialing setup options:
1 . P ress
to display the Main menu .
2 . P ress
for Voice dial.
3 . P ress
for Set A c t i ve .
4 . P ress the scroll keys to toggle between options:
SEND Only :E n ables voice dialing by pressing and hold-
ing
.
SEND / Flip: E n ables voice dialing by pressing and
holding
(when the phone is open), or by simply
opening the phone.
5 . When the desired option display s ,p ress
s e t t i n g .

Placing a call using voice dialing
To place a call using voice dialing:
1 . P ress and hold
or open the phone (if set in the
Main menu ) .
2 . At the voice pro m p t ,s ay the name into the phone.
The phone places the call if it recognizes the name.
If the phone does not recognize the name, it pro m p t s
for the name ag a i n .
If the phone is unable to recognize the name after two
a t t e m p t s , it says "The name cannot be re c o g n i z e d . " a n d
the fo l l owing message display s :"Cannot re c o g n i z e
n a m e . Please ch e ck name. " .The phone re t u rns to
S t a n d by mode automatically, and you can try the call
again later.
Reviewing voice dialing entries
To rev i ew voice dialing entri e s :
1 . P ress
to display the Main menu .
2 . P ress
for Voice Dial.
3 . P ress
for Rev i ew.A list of your stored voice dial
nu m b e rs display (the names also display if stored in the
I n t e rnal Phone Book).
4 . P ress the digit key to select the desired entry or scroll to
the desired entry and press
p l ays audibly.You can quick ly scroll entries without hav-
ing to listen to each one, or you can listen to them all as
t h ey play in ord e r.
5 . P ress
to re t u rn to the previous scre e n .
