ABC Motorized Ball
Valve Instructions
ABC motorized ball valves powered open
by line voltage and motor-driven closed by
a built in capacitor, when power is removed
from the valves.
Plumbing Installation
• For maximum weather protection, the valve
should be mounted in a horizontal pipe run
with actuator above the ball valve.
• ABC valves can have the flow pass
through in either direction.
• A strainer up stream is recommended if
installation will have high particulate to
prevent damage.
• Isolation and bypass valves are also
recommended for maintenance.
Wiring
• Valves with the 100-240 VAC actuator
will operate off of a line voltage within this
range.
• Line voltage outside of the rated range will
damage actuator.
• Black wire connects to neutral and red to
hot.
• When line voltage is applied, valve will
open and when voltage is removed, it will
close.

Valve shown with Option J conduit Manual Operations The ball valves can be manually operated with power removed from valve. Hand wheel Steps: Indicating Window 1. Unplug valve from power source. 2. Lift the hand wheel and start to turn. If there is a charge on the capacitor it will rotate valve until fully discharged. 3. With capacitor discharged, rotate to desired position.
