BEFORE USING FOR
THE FIRST TIME

Before using your Cuisinart
Electric Kettle for the first time, we
recommend RINSE THE KETTLE WITH

MAXIMUM AMOUNT OF FRESH WATER
IT ALLOWS. BOIL FRESH WATER INSIDE
THE KETTLE TWO TO THREE TIMES AND
DISCARD THE BOILED WATER BEFORE
NORMAL USE.

OPERATION

1. Please put the appliance on a
heat-resistant flat surface.
2. Press the lid knob backward and lift to
open the lid.

3. Fill the kettle with the desired quantity of
cold water between the Min. and Max.
level.
4. The kettle is equipped with a
borosilicated glass body. It is important
to avoid thermal shocks. Do not use the
iced water, especially if your glass kettle
is still warm.
5. Close the lid until it locks the glass body.
6. Ensure the cable has been connected
and the "On/Off" switch is at the "Off"
position.
7. Press the "On/Off" switch to the "On"
position. The power indicator will then
be lighted.
8. Water temperature continues to rise and
then finally boiling occur. The switch will
then be automatically plugged to the
"Off" position.
9. When the water cool down and if you
want to have boiled water again, simply
switch on the kettle again.

HELPFUL HINTS

• Always use fresh water in the kettle.
• If the kettle is accidentally switched on
without a sufficient water level, a
boil-dry safety mechanism will
automatically switch the kettle off.
• The lid should always be securely in place
while heating water.
