    (2 wire) and double pair (4 wire) are supported. The terminals with 4 wires functionality can be configured in the 2 wire modality. The following documentation present in this document refers to Alyseo 106 terminal.     SHDSL technology allows high bit rate, up to 2304 Kbit/s, on a single twisted pair in symmetrical modality. The Alyseo 106 terminal is available also in the ‘4 wire’ version that, exploiting a second twisted pair, doubles the band available or can increase the capacity in terms of maximum reachable distance.

    2.2.3 ATM Termination The Alyseo 106 terminal, in the interworking applications between ATM networks and Frame Relay, is a device that realizes the access to the ATM transport network, implementing an ATM user interface, according to ATM Forum normative UNI 3.1 and 4.0. The device supports up to 100 contemporaneous ATM connections of PVC type (+1 for remote control).

    ITU-T I.363.5 and ITU-T I.361 normatives. In the ‘cell forwarding’ applications, the Alyseo 106 terminals realizes an ATM NNI interface, able to switch the ATM cells between E1 G.703 and SHDSL interfaces. The ATM stream on user side is mapped on the G.704 frame in compliance with the G.804 recommendation.

    The first one is for normal users (“user”) and the second one is for users enabled to configure the Alyseo 106 (“superuser”). The pre-stored password is “selta” for both ones, but they can be modified for the users in priviliged modality.

  • Page 28: Saving The Configuration

    The “user” and “superuser” access passwords are saved, in encrypted way, together with the configuration of Alyseo 106 because they are an integral part of it. This involves that, downloading the configuration file to a new terminal, this will be accessible by means of the password stored in the configuration file itself.

    CHANGE OF CONFIGURATION Alyseo 106 allows the configuration of different parameters in the proper menu (see following parameters), and it is provided with a command for the re-aligning of the active database after the configuration of the parameters.

    Once connected, a welcome page appears asking for the password. At first start-up, the password is "selta". After the first access, it can be changed by the user. CLI provides two user levels: "user" and "superuser". To pass to the "superuser" mode, type the command "enable" and insert the password of “superuser”.

    It allows upgrading the firmware of Alyseo 106. Analyse the menu in details: as you see from the windows reported from shell of Alyseo 106, you must specify the URL or the path on the local pc related to new file.

    6. MECHANICAL STRUCTURE AND INSTALLATION OVERVIEW ALYSEO 106 terminal is inserted into a table box that can be installed on wall.
