Lower the bread carriage lever handle down vertically until it is latched into place, indicator will light up, and the appliance will begin toasting. NOTE: The lever handle can only be latched when the appliance is plugged in. Once the lever is lowered, the 5 progress lights will turn on and the countdown will begin. - Page 6 STARFRIT authorized service agent.
