    What is Maxem? From the meter cabinet, Maxem measures the energy use in the house and the energy generation of solar panels. Based on this information, it manages the charging station, battery or heat pump smartly. Thus, it helps the user to make easier and cheaper use of sustainable energy.

    Click the supplied current transformer around the L1 wire of the circuit breaker to the solar inverter (see fig. 2). No other loads may be connected to this circuit breaker. Connect the current transformer to port 4 of Maxem. Repeat these steps for L2 and L3; connect L2 to port 5, connect L3 to port 6. Make sure each current transformer of each phase is connected to the associated port on Maxem.

    03 - Connecting MID kWh-meter Configuring an MID kWh-meter Maxem can measure different elements through an external MID certified kWh-meter. In order for the auto configuration to function properly, the kWh-meter must be set to the right address.   • Page 15 Phoenix MID kWh-meter connector as follows: kWh- Wire Phoenix- meter color connector Brown White Green Connect the green Phoenix connector to port RS1 on Maxem. Set the address of the kWh-meter to corresponding node. Connect a 1-phase solar installation which supplies L3 of the main grid connection also to L3 of the kWh-meter. The same goes for L2.

    Install a circuit breaker and/or earth leakage circuit breaker for each charging station at the maximal power available. See p. 33. Place a suitable UTP (CAT5 or CAT6) of the Wall Connector to Maxem. (To prevent electromagnetic interference at the RS485 connection, it is recommended to use FTP CAT6 cable at distance more than 25 m. Max: 50m).

    Install a circuit breaker and/or earth leakage circuit breaker at the maximal power available. See p. 33. Place a suitable UTP (CAT5 or CAT6) cable from the charging station to Maxem and clench RJ45 connectors on both sides. Connect the UTP cable to the Ethernet port of the charging station and the ETH port of Maxem.
