Setting up the MS-1000

The MS-1000 requires that you download software in order to set the IP Address, Subnet
Mask and Default gateway. The software is "Device Discovery" and cab be downloaded from
here:
http://ftp1.digi.com/support/utilities/40002265_g.exe
STEP 1—Download and run the install program from your download directory
STEP 2—Before running the Device Discovery software connect the MS-1000 to the net-
work with a standard CAT 5 cable.
STEP 3—Start the program and you should see the following screen:
The software will poll the network and locate the MS-
1000 on the network. Click on the desired device if its
not already highlighted.
STEP 4 -
Click on "Configure network settings" to
bring up the configure network settings screen.
