The binary inputs and outputs of the PowerView3 must not be used for safety-critical purposes. If warnings and errors occur in the detonation controller or in a temperature module, two binary outputs can be switched at the PowerView3.

7 Wiring of the Device PowerView3 Power Supply via the Ignition Controller If you use a MOTORTECH ignition controller with a service cover and connector strip, you have the option of supplying power to the PowerView3 via the ignition controller. A special connector is included in the PowerView3's scope of supply.

For communication via the CAN bus, it is mandatory that all connected devices use the same bit rate. MOTORTECH devices are usually delivered with a bit rate set to 250 kbit/s. Use this bit rate in the PowerView3 as well.

9 Devices Self Test Operational safety! If you carry out a self test, it is essential for the gas supply to be switched off and no more residual gas is left in the combustion chamber. Non-comp- liance can result in damage to equipment or injury to persons. You can run a self test to check the order of the wiring and the connection between the MIC ignition controller outputs down to the spark plugs.
