To Start Vehicle:
•
Make sure the Ignition Key is in the off position.
•
Make sure your mouthpiece is inserted into the Control Head.
•
Press and release the green button on top of the Control Head.
•
The display will indicate "Warming Up, Please Wait, SERV #".
•
Wait for the display to indicate "Blow Now" (about 90 seconds);
•
You have 30 seconds to begin the breath test. If you do not do so the unit will power
down.
•
Take a deep breath & "Blow".
•
As you blow, you will hear a humming noise.
•
Blow until a double beep is heard.
•
The display will indicate "Analyze".
•
The display will change to "Pass Start Car" if you were successful (you have 1 minute).
•
If you were unsuccessful, the display will immediately indicate "Blow Now".
•
After multiple failures, the system will lock you out for 15 minutes and display "TEMP LOCK".
•
Should the vehicle stall, you have 2 minutes to restart the vehicle without a new breath
Test.
Vehicle Started (Rolling Retest)
•
After the vehicle has been running for 3 to 15 minutes, you will hear beeping and the display
will indicate "Blow Now Retest XXX SEC" (in most states, 300 seconds or 5 minutes)
and countdown to 0. You must successfully deliver the Rolling Retest before it reaches 0.
•
To mute the beeping, press the green button on the top of the handset.
•
To deliver a Rolling Retest sample, blow for approximately 5 seconds.
•
Additional Rolling Retests will occur from 25 to 45 minutes thereafter, until the vehicle is
shut off.
•
When you reach your destination, turn the vehicle off and exit the vehicle, the system will
turn itself off.
Service Requirements
The system indicates "SERV #" in days (service 30 or 60 days till shut down), your
appointment due date (on your paper report), should always be before day 0 at midnight. The
System will count down from the day your unit was last serviced (at midnight you lose a day).
Should the system reset the service days, or you miss your appointment, the system will
make an extra Beeping noise while warming up and indicate days till service "SERV #"
(or days till "Perm Lock" shut down).
If a "Perm Lock" is displayed, the control head will need to be unplugged and brought in, as
There is no way to enable the system. It is Permanently Locked until service is delivered.
