TROUBLESHOOTING TIPS
Before calling for service, review this list. It may save you time and money. This list includes common
occurrences that are not the result of defective workmanship or materials in this appliance.
Problem
Solution
Make sure the dehumidifi ers plug is connected fi rmly into the wall outlet.
Check the house fuse/circuit breaker box.
Unit does not start
Dehumidifi er has reached its preset level or bucket is full.
Water bucket is not in the proper position.
Not enough time to remove the moisture.
Make sure there are no curtains, blinds or furniture blocking the front or back of the
dehumidifi er.
Dehumidifi er does
The humidity control may not be set low enough.

Check that all doors, windows and other openings are securely closed.
Room temperature is too low, below 41°F (5°C).
There is a water vapor source in the room.
Air fi lter may be dirty. Clean fi lter. Refer to Care and Cleaning section.
The unit makes a

This is normal. The dehumidifi er has Auto defrost feature.
