Introduction
Intended Use
Thermometer is intended for the intermittent measurement and

monitoring of human body temperature from forehead measurement
at home.
A control measurement using a conventional thermometer is
recommended in the following cases :
1. If the reading is surprisingly low,
2. For new-born infants up to 100 days old,

3. For children under three years of age who have a weakened
immune system or who react unusually in the presence or absence of
fever.
How does it work
The thermometer measures the infrared heat generated by the surface
of the skin over the vessel and its surrounding tissue.
The thermometer then converts it into a temperature value.
Note : The thermometer does not emit any infrared signal.

Note :
• As the forehead measurement temperature is likely to be affected by sweat, oil
and the surroundings, the reading shall be taken as a reference only.
• If the detecting sensor is placed at an angle close to the forehead measurement,
the reading will be affected by surrounding temperature. Babies' skin reacts very
quickly to the ambient temperature. Therefore, do not take their temperature with
MINI during or after breastfeeding because the skin temperature may then be
lower than the internal body temperature.
• If the reading is < 32°C (89.6°F), the display will show "L" together with red
backlight and three short beeps.
• If the reading is ≥ 32°C (89.6°F) and < 37.5 °C (99.5°F), the display will show the
reading together with green backlight and three short beeps.
• If the reading is ≥ 37.5 °C (99.5°F) and < 43°C (109.4°F), the display will show the
reading together with red backlight and ten short beeps.
• If the reading is ≥ 43°C (109.4°F), the display will show "H" together with red
backlight and ten short beeps.
• The interval of each next measurement is at least 3 seconds.
• The device remains in standby mode for another measurement with last readings

detecting sensor is flat and close to the object, not at an angle.
Note : Perform an object measurement with a distance within 3 cm.
3. Press and release the On/Scan Button, the device will take measurement.
4. Read the result. (l)
