OPERATION/INSTALLATION INSTRUCTION MANUAL

Purchase a pepper spray canister that says
Fogger or Mist pepper sprays; these sprays
are most effective with this unit. The canisters
MUST have "grip grooves" on both sides of the
MK3 Flip Top. (as shown on the right).
"Stream" pepper spray is not recommended.
Just below the grip grooves, you will also see a
ridge around the top. This ridge is IMPORTANT
because it must slide into the grooves that are
located just below the plunger inside the device.
The Package
You are now ready for installation
This alarm device should be placed high off the floor or above a doorway using the
mounting screws provided and facing away from any windows. Insert SIX (6)
Ultimate Lithium "AA" batteries (not included) into the device in the correct polarity.
The Negative (-) end of the batteries go up into the device first. Once all the batteries
are installed you will notice that the strobe lights will flash once. This is an indicator
that the device has recognized the batteries. The device is now in "SLEEP" mode
(conserving energy),waiting to be armed via a key fob.
VERY
IMPORTANT:WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU TEST THE DEVICE AS PER
THE INSTRUCTIONS FOUND ON THE BACK SIDE OF THE FRONT COVER OF
THE UNIT, BEFORE YOU INSERT THE PEPPER SPRAY CANISTER. WHEN YOU
ARE CONFIDENT YOUUNDERSTAND THE ARM AND DISARM FUNCTION OF THE
DEVICE YOU MAY THEN INSERT THE CANISTER.
Note:
The factory has pre-set the ENTRY
time delay on the device for 30 seconds.
This time delay can be adjusted by simply
lowering just one (1) of the dip switches
(upper right hand side) to 20 seconds, 10
seconds or 5 seconds. See the picture to
the right.
Just beside the dip switches you will see a BLACK button (above) the word LEARN.
To ADD NEW Key Fobs
If all or some of the key fobs are lost, put the alarm device in the DISARM mode by
pressing the emergency shut off button. The device will "beep" twice (2 times) then.
1. Press and hold the LEARN button for 2 seconds to enter the learning mode, the red
LED will be continuously ON.
2. Press either key on the key fob, the main unit will beep once to recognize the code.
This work need to be completed within 20 seconds.
One key fob can control more than one device, after performing the same
code-learning procedure.
Test
Press and hold the Arm button on the key fob for 2 seconds, the red LED should be
blinking slowly to enter the arming mode. Count down of Exit delay begins. If no
response, it means the learning work fails.
Delete Key Fobs
When the alarm device is in the DISARM
mode. Press and hold the Learning Button
for 5 seconds, the red LED will be continuously
ON. The main unit will beep three times to
indicate the deleting is successful.
The key fobs will need to be re-learnt before using them again.
INSERTING A CANISTER INTO THE DEVICE
Hold the Mk3 pepper spray canister
with your right hand. See the raised
ridge around the canister top (just
below the nozzle), This ridge is
important because the ridge MUST
slide into the grooves that are located
just below the plunger in the device.
Now press DOWN on the front part of the SAFETY CAP.
When the front part is pushed down the back of the safety cap will automatically rise up.
If you are NOT exactly sure, please contact your dealer for help.
Now place the cover on the device and slide
the cover
UPWARDS
into place.
The alarm device is now ready to be
activated.
VERY IMPORTANT:
that you change the batteries AFTER a canister has been discharged.
RELOADING: (after the device has been discharged)
1. First remove the "old"batteries.
2. Take out the old canister
3. Replace old batteries with new ones.
4.
NOTE:
The Negative ends of the batteries go up into the device FIRST.
5. Insert NEW pepper spray canister into the device
6. Now slide the front cover on.
This unique device is user friendly.
The key fob has a
button on it (as shown on the right).
The
RED

There is also a SAFETY "sleeve" on the
key fob. Slide the sleeve over the buttons,
when the key fob is NOT in use.
ARM
the device
a. FACE toward the device and POINT the key fob directly at the device.
b. PRESS the
sound. Now release the button.
c. A
red
LED light will flash once. The device is now
d. EXIT time is 60 seconds. If you stay in the vicinity of the device past sixty (60)
seconds, the device will activate and you may be showered with pepper spray.
DISARM
the device
a. The ENTRY delay time is pre-set for30 seconds. Upon entering the protected
area turn and face the device.
b. To
DISARM
and PRESS the
beeps. Now release the button.
c. When the device has been
the device will automatically go back sleep mode awaiting instructions to be
armed again.
It's just that SIMPLE
This device has "PANIC" mode
Even when the device is in sleep mode just PRESS the
at the same time and hold them down for three (3) seconds and the device will
automatically emit pepper spray.
To
STOP
the spray, just press the
mode. After the pepper spray has been disbursed install a NEW pepper spray canister.
ATTENTION PROFESSIONAL ALARM INSTALLERS:
It is recommended that you install this alarm device
to a separate interior zone. The BLACK (negative)
wire is hard wired to the GND connector, the
(positive) wire goes to +12V and the
yellow wire is attached to the TRIG (trigger)
connector.(as shown on right)
This device does NOT require batteries when powered from a 12 Volt alarm panel
because the customer's alarm panel will have complete control over the pepper
spray dispenser device.
