INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

This fan kit has been tested for use with specific Hearth & Home Technologies Inc. fireplaces and is listed as a fireplace part. Check with
your local building code agency before you begin your installation to ensure compliance with local codes, including the need for permits
and follow-up inspections. If you encounter problems regarding code approvals or if you wish clarification of any of the instructions

Note:
The fan motors do not require lubrication.
However, the blades should be vacuumed and
cleaned as needed.
Note:
The JK9 junction box must be installed
at the same time as the fireplace is installed.
WARNING
Electrical Grounding Instructions:
This appliance is equipped with a three-prong (ground-
ing) plug for your protection against shock hazard and
should be plugged directly into a properly grounded three-
prong receptacle. Do not cut or remove the ground prong
from this plug.

FK23 Installation
1. Remove the lower grille from the front face of the fireplace.
Depending on the fireplace model, this can be removed by
pulling it straight out, from both ends, or by swinging the grille
down and releasing the hinges by pulling them to the center.
See Figure 1 for grille removal.

2. Place the junction box shield around the top and sides of the
duplex outlet. Secure it into position with screws. See Figure 2.
