    SECTION 1 General Description The SuperVisor LX comprises a Shoebox enclosure type LX Control and the mainframe type SuperVisor LX. The Shoebox is designed for control desk mounting and acts as a remote control front panel for the SuperVisor LX mainframe.
  • Page 10 A PC Control program (order code FGAX3249500) may be supplied. This program allows full setup and control of the Supervisor LX from a PC. This is an optional item but it is recommended for applications that require the chroma key facilities of the Supervisor LX. In addition to the PC program, the CD-ROM also contains electronic versions of the Supervisor manuals.

    SuperVisor LX SECTION 3 Supervisor LX Mainframe Connections POWER CONNECTIONS Power Supply There are two filtered IEC connectors with integral fuse holders for the connection of mains power to the unit. The fuse rating for each connector is 2.5 A (T).
  • Page 14 This single BNC connector will allow the unit to be connected RollCall™ network communications system. Note that the Supervisor LX is supplied with a 75 Ohm BNC through terminator. The maximum length of cable used for the RollCall connection depends on the type of cable used. For example: PSF1/2M, Belden 8281 = 400 m PSF1/3M, RG59 = 270 m.

    SuperVisor LX SECTION 3 REAR PANEL SIGNAL CONNECTIONS COMPOSITE Decoder Section INPUTS C IN Y/COMPOSITE IN The decoder accepts a composite input or a separated input in either NTSC or PAL standard via BNC connectors. COMPOSITE INPUTS The Y/Composite IN connector is used for the composite video input to the decoder via a BNC connector terminated in 75 Ohms.
  • Page 16 SuperVisor LX SECTION 3 COMPONENT INPUTS These inputs normally accept analog component R-Y/R video signals in YPbPr format via BNC connectors that terminate in 75 Ohms. COMPONENT INPUTS Note that this input may be configured to accept an B-Y/B RGB signal.
  • Page 17 SuperVisor LX SECTION 3 COMPUTER VIDEO INPUT Input signals from a computer source may be connected to the unit using this 15-pin mini `D' type connector. The connections are compatible with computers using the same type of connector for IBM (or compatible) CGA, VGA and SVGA signals.
