After unpacking all items from the shipping carton, check for any obvious signs of physical damage that may have occurred during transit.

    Model KUSB-488B USB to GPIB Converter Quick Start Guide Repacking for return shipment If you need to return the Model KUSB-488B for repair, carefully pack the unit in its original packing carton (or equivalent), and follow these instructions: • Request a Return Material Authorization (RMA) number either by calling the Keithley Instruments U.S.

You may choose to install the Keithley command-compatible driver or the NI command-compatible driver. Refer to Models KPCI-488LPA and KUSB-488B Reference Manual (part number KI488-901-01) for available functions of either compatible driver.

    Connect the Model KUSB-488B to the GPIB connector on the rear panel of the instrument. Plug the Model KUSB-488B USB cable into a USB port on your computer. The Found New Hardware dialog box will display on your computer screen.

    Model KUSB-488B USB to GPIB Converter Quick Start Guide Troubleshooting If your system does not display the Found New Hardware Wizard after you plug the Model KUSB-488B cable into a USB port on your computer, unplug the cable and plug it into a different USB port (or plug it into the same port again).
