Sonorous ES-08 Operating Instructions

1. Introduction

The ES-08 Master/Slave Energy Saving multi socket automatically controls power to connected devices to minimise standby power consumption. It is
important that you read the instructions provided and understand the correct operating procedures to avoid problems in use.

2. Protection

ES-08 protects from the damages caused by spikes, surges, overload and lighting.
3. How ES-08 Energy Saver works ?
Under Automatic option :
ES-08, automatically controls power to the devices plugged into the "Slave" outlets by sensing when the device plugged into the "Master" outlet is switched
on and off /standby. When the "Master" device is switched on, the "Slave" devices will automatically switch on and, conversely, when the "Master" device is
switched off or in standby position, the "Slave" devices will automatically switch off.

4. Safety

• ES-08 should be installed and operated indoors, in an area that is as protected as possible and whose environmental tempature and humidity levels do not
exceed those stipulated in the devices technical characteristics.
• Protect the power cord from being walked on or pitched, particularly at plugs.
• Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel.

5. Installation and Use

There are two ways for option. Manual or Automatic.
• For the Manual option, the product is equal to an ordinary socket use without energy saving function.
• For the Automatic option to ensure the energy saving function, follow the steps below.
• Connect a suitable appliance to the "Master" outlet ( 1 as indicated in the diagram). This can be a computer or a TV screen.
• Connect other devices such as sattallite receivers, amplifiers, DVD players, monitors and speakers to the "Slave" outlets ( 3 as indicated in the diagram).
• Verify that when you switch on the "Master" device, the "Slave" devices switch on, and when you switch off the "Master" device, the "Slave" devices also
switch off.
Once setup, ES-08 will automatically save power by reducing the standby power consumption of your devices.
Troubleshooting Guide & Power adjustment knob:
IF you experience below situations you should adjust the power adjustment knob.
a) NO POWER TO SLAVE SOCKETS:
Check that the device connected to the "Master" socket is switched on. You have to adjust the power adjustment knob (8-80 W adjustable). (5 as indicated in
the diagram). Use a screwdriver and turn slowly until the slave power is on. Do not turn it over too much or it will lead the function delay 5-10 seconds.
b) SLAVE SOCKETS ALWAYS ON:
Check that the device connected to the "Master" socket is switched off. You have to adjust the power adjustment knob (8-80 W adjustable). (5 as indicated in
the diagram. Use a screwdriver and turn slowly until the slave power is off. Do not turn it over too much or it will lead the function delay 5-10 seconds.

Overload protection

If the power through the socket is beyond the stated 3500 W, the overload protection will disconnect automatically, which protects the master slave socket
bar and auxiliary equipment as well. When this situation happens, you should reset the multi socket with the reset button (8 as indicated in the diagram)

6. Quality Guarantee

This Limited Warranty only covers failures due to defects in materials or workmanship, and does not cover normal wear and tear or cosmetic damage. The
Limited Warranty also does not cover damages which occurred in shipment, or failures which are caused by products not supplied by the warrantor, or
failures which result from accidents, misuse, abuse, neglect, mishandling, misapplication, alteration, faulty installation, set-up adjustments, maladjustment
of consumer controls, improper maintenance, modification, or service by anyone other than a Factory Service centre or other Authorized Service.
