Introduction:
Congratulations on the purchase of a Garden Power product. With proper care, this
item should bring you years of trouble-free service. Remember to use this device for
the purpose which it is intended and designed.
The hose reel is made of high quality materials and parts. Please read these operating
instructions carefully and note the information given. Use these operating instructions
to familiarize yourself with the product, its proper usage and safety
instructions.
Correct use:
This hose reel is intended for use in the private home and hobby gardener.

Installation:
1. Remove the unit and accessories from the box
2. Plug the two metal tubes of the foot stand
(part #3) into the openings of main body
(Fig.1) until they are locked into place
and the snap buttons have popped out.
The ribbed foot stand surface should faces
up. Before using, test the foot stand by
pulling on it to make sure it is secured. (Fig.1)
Operation:
Lift the handle to the upright position. Connect one end of the leader
hose to inlet of the unit, another end to the faucet. Turn on the faucet.
To unwind the hose
Simply pull out hose to the desired length.
To rewind the hose
Turn off the faucet. Keeping the handle in the upright position, take
the nozzle end of hose back to the hose reel and hang the hose into
the hose holder clip to prevent damage to the nozzle.
To retract the hose you should stand on the backside of the reel with
your hands on the handle. Rewind the hose by continuously stepping
on the pedal. Longer strides will return more hose.

Storage and Maintenance:
Storage
During winter storage, please make sure all water inside hoses are drained and
reel is stored in an area away from freezing weather condition.
Maintenance
The hose reel is maintenance-free and must NOT be cleaned immersed water.
It is ok if rain and/or sprinkler water get on this unit but do not spray water directly
into the reel housing.
• When not in use, turn off the source of water, and open the nozzle/spray
to release the water pressure inside the unit.
• Never use this hose reel to distribute any chemical substance!
• When not in use for an extended period of time it is recommended to be
stored in a cool, dry place with inlet hose disconnected from water source
and nozzle opened to drain any water from inside the unit.
• If the storage space is small, you can fold the handle down by depressing
the two side buttons.
• Finally, lock/snap the stop ball at the end of the hose into the slot on the
side of the drum basket.
Troubleshooting:
When retracting the hose, if the hose is locked or pedal can't be cranked,
please check the followings:
• If there is kink or twist in the hose, pull out the hose again and straighten
out the kink or twist and carefully retract it again.
• If the hose is trapped in between the reel body and the drum basket,
carefully pull the hose out before pressing on the pedal.
• If the hose jams in the process of pulling out, please press the foot pedal
to retract the hose to its original place, then pull the hose out once again.
Warning:
1. Please do not step on the pedal while pulling hose out.
2. Pull evenly on the hose, do not pull in a quick yank and stop suddenly.
3. Before retracting the hose, make sure the nozzle is located back near the unit.
