Troubleshooting Guide

Possible Cause
No AC input power present
Factory installed fire alarm jumper missing
or open circuit on fire alarm control circuit
FAI (Fire Alarm Interface) LED will
illuminate green when fire alarm circuit
activated
Fire alarm circuit activated and dip switch
SW-4 in off position
FAI / IN1 / IN2 LED's illuminated
Input trigger/activation circuit improperly
configured or direct short in activation
circuit
IN1 / IN2 LED's illuminated
Open or short circuit condition on
controller output circuit
Slow blinking input LED indicates open
condition on output circuit to electric
locking device
Rapid blinking LED indicates direct short
condition on output circuit to electric
locking device
Solution
Check AC input power
115VAC 60Hz / 6.3amp
Green AC Power LED indicates
115VAC present
If no FACP integration required for
system, install jumper wire across FACP
and GND terminals
If FACP control is required then
connect NC "DRY" contacts to FACP
and GND terminals
If no FACP integration required for
system, install jumper wire across
FACP and GND terminals
If FACP control is required then
connect NC "DRY" contacts to FACP
and GND terminals
Ensure that activation circuit is
connected to a "DRY" (no voltage
present on circuit) NO set of contacts
from activation device (access system,
push button, key-switch, etc.)
Verify wire integrity on circuit by
disconnecting input trigger wires and
using jumper wire to activate panic
device power controller
IN1 and/or IN2 blinking slowly or
rapidly indicates problem with output
circuit wiring to load
Verify wire integrity on controller
output circuit by disconnecting/
bypassing existing output wiring and
running new temporary wires from
power controller to locking device
