- Page 2 VERY IMPORTANT! - MINIMUM OF 26” CLEARANCE REQUIRED ABOVE CEILING FOR INSTALLATION. Determine in which area you would like to install your GF-14 Garage Fan. If attic access is available it is easy to position the fan between the joist at your desired location.
- Page 3 GF-14 Garage Fan Installation Instructions (cont.) Attach the intake grill on the bottom of the GF-14 fan using the screws provided. They will go through the drywall flange and secure the grill to the fan. VERY IMPORTANT! Check to make sure f i re damper closes easily to meet f i re safety code. Make sure to secure latch on f i re damper in open position! This stays locked open at all times! Test the fan operation by taking a lighter and heat up the thermostat and it will start right up.
