VPN can provide features as follows: The firewall feature, authentication, encryption and
channelization can help establish a private communications line between two or more
business intranets in different places on the Internet through a special encrypted
communication protocol, which is like mounting a private line, but it does not require actually
laying a physical line like an optical cable. This is like applying for a private line to the
Telecommunication Bureau, but requires neither the payment of the costs of laying the line
nor buying routers and other hardware devices. VPN technology is originally one of the most
important techniques with the router, and the software for switches, firewall devices or
Windows 2000 also supports the VPN functionality. In a word, the core of VPN lies in the
establishment of a virtual private network with the public network.
Step 1: On the home screen, click Settings>More...>VPN to set the screen PIN code, as
shown in the figure
