If necessary, the built-in flash will be automatically raised
and fired in low-light or backlit conditions (with certain
shooting modes).

You can change the camera
settings as desired to shoot in

Set the Mode Dial to < d >.

s : Shutter-priority AE
Set the Mode Dial to < s >.

Turn the < 6 > dial to set the

desired shutter speed, then
focus on the subject.
The aperture will be set automatically.

If the aperture display blinks, turn

the < 6 > dial until it stops blinking.
f : Aperture-priority AE
Set the Mode Dial to < f >.

Turn the < 6 > dial to set the desired

aperture, then focus on the subject.

The shutter speed will be set automatically.
If the shutter speed display blinks, turn

k Movie Shooting (Autoexposure)
Set the power switch to < k >.

Built-in microphones
When the shooting mode is < a >, you can shoot movies

with manual exposure.
You can set movie shooting settings with the menu

options under the [ Z 1] or [ Z 2] tab.
