Press the < g > button.

Press the <Y> <Z> keys or

the desired ISO speed, then
press <0>.
When [AUTO] is selected, the

When you press the shutter
button halfway, the ISO speed
setting is displayed.

You can shift the AF point

horizontally by turning the < 6 >

<0> straight down, the center
AF point (or center zone) will be
selected.
Basic Zone Modes
All the settings necessary for
shooting are set automatically.
You just press the shutter
button, and the camera does
the rest.

Basic Zone Modes
If necessary, the built-in flash will be automatically raised
and fired in low-light or backlit conditions (with certain
shooting modes).
Creative Zone Modes
Press the < D > button to raise the
o
built-in flash, then shoot.
B AF Area Selection Mode K
Press the < S > or < B >
o
button.
Look through the viewfinder
o
and press the < B > button.
X Each time you press the < B >
button, the AF area selection
mode changes.
A Live View Shooting
Press the < A > button to display
o
the Live View image.
Press the shutter button halfway
o
to focus, then press it completely
to take the picture.

Creative Zone Modes
You can change the camera
settings as desired to shoot in
various ways.
d : Program AE
Set the Mode Dial to < d >.

The camera automatically sets the shutter speed and

aperture in the same way as the <A> mode.
s : Shutter-priority AE
Set the Mode Dial to < s >.
o
Turn the < 6 > dial to set the
o
desired shutter speed, then
focus on the subject.
The aperture will be set automatically.
X
If the aperture display blinks, turn
o
the < 6 > dial until it stops blinking.
f : Aperture-priority AE
Set the Mode Dial to < f >.
o
Turn the < 6 > dial to set the desired
o
aperture, then focus on the subject.
X The shutter speed will be set automatically.
If the shutter speed display blinks, turn
o
the < 6 > dial until it stops blinking.
k Movie Shooting (Autoexposure)
Set the power switch to < k >.
o
Set the Mode Dial to any

shooting mode except < a >.
Press the < A > button to start
o
shooting a movie.
To stop movie shooting, press

the < A > button again.
Recording movie
Built-in microphones
When the shooting mode is < a >, you can shoot movies
o
with manual exposure.
You can set movie shooting settings with the menu
o
options under the [ Z 1] or [ Z 2] tab.
