SET UP INSTRUCTIONS
Read the ENTIRE IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION section at the
beginning of this manual including all text under subheadings therein
before set up or use of this product.
Note: For additional information regarding the parts listed in the following pages, refer
to the Assembly Diagram near the end of this manual.
1.
Remove the screw on the battery compartment cover, and observing
polarity, insert two 3V CR2032 Lithium batteries. Screw cover back on.
Note: Positive terminal of batteries on the Transmitter (2) and the Receivers (3)
must be top side.
2.
Mount the Transmitter Base in a central location where the Transmitter will be
easy for adults to access and within the likely range of the Receivers.
3.
Verify that installation surface has no hidden utility lines before drilling or
driving screws.
The distance between the center of the mounting holes is 2-1/8". Mark holes on the
mounting surface and drive included screws and anchors into mounting surface. At-
tach the Transmitter Base onto the screws, and slide the Transmitter into it.
4.
You may use the connected magnet to apply the Transmitter Base to a metallic
surface (such as a refrigerator).
5.
Unscrew the back covers on the Receivers and, observing polarity, insert
batteries before returning the cover.

before set up or use of this product.
1.
Using the safety clip at the end of the swiveling link chain attach the Receivers
to items that can be hard to find (keys or remote controls). Turn the switch on
the side of the Receiver on.
2.
Turn on the switch on the back of the Transmitter. When the Transmitter is
removed from its mounting, it will beep every two minutes unless the sound
is turned off. The Buttons on the Transmitter are color-coded to match the
Receivers. To locate the item, push the button (Button 1 or 2) that corresponds
to the color of the Receiver clipped to the item, then push the "F" Key.
3.
The Receiver will beep and the light will flash until the matching button is
pressed again.
4.
The range of the Transmitter is about 60 Feet. The presence of walls or strong
transmitting sources can disrupt the signal. It may be necessary to walk around
obstacles and push the button a few more times for the signal to reach the
Receiver.
5.
Push the button on the Transmitter to turn off the Receiver before you retrieve
the item.
6.
If the Transmitter can not find the Receiver: press the Learn button until it beeps
twice, enter a new code on the Transmitter and then push the Finding button.
The Receiver will either issue one long beep to indicate a successful change or
beep repeatedly to indicate failure. In case of failure, try again.
7.
Three more Receivers may be available for use with this Transmitter. Check
with your local Harbor Freight Tools store or call the number below for details.
8.
Return the Transmitter to the Transmitter Base, then store the Transmitter and
Receivers out of children's reach.
