The Keyscan K-PROX3 may not be opening the door despite beeping when scanning the card due to several possible reasons:

1. Access Control System Issue – The reader may be detecting the card but not receiving proper authorization from the access control system.
2. Firmware or Configuration Problem – The device's firmware or settings may not be properly configured to grant access.
3. Wiring or Connection Fault – A loose or incorrect connection between the reader and the access control panel could prevent the door from unlocking.
4. Power Supply Issue – If the power supply is insufficient or unstable (12V DC, 80mA required), the lock mechanism may not engage.
5. Metal Interference – If the reader is mounted on metal, it could reduce the effective read range and cause inconsistent performance.
6. Lock Mechanism Failure – The door locking mechanism may be malfunctioning or not receiving the unlock signal from the system.

Check the access control settings, wiring, power connections, and ensure the reader is properly installed and configured.
