    Connecting Power Mains Lead This radio uses a 13A, 2 pin mains power lead (supplied). Plug the mains lead into a suitable mains socket and connect the lead to the mains input on the back of the radio. Batteries This radio uses 4 x 1.5V ‘D’ cell type batteries (not supplied). Do not keep batteries in the radio for long term storage.

    On/Off Turning The Radio On Once the radio has power either supplied by the mains or batteries, the radio is constantly on. Turning The Radio Off The only way to turn the radio off completely is to turn it off at the mains and unplug it or remove the batteries out of the back.

    Radio Mode Using The Radio The radio is able to receive FM, MW and SW band radio signals.     Tape Mode Cassette Tape Deck Controls PAUSE Pause the cassette tape while playing or recording. STOP/EJ. Stops the current action / Eject the cassette tape. F.FWD Fast Forwards the inserted cassette tape. REW. Rewinds the inserted cassette tape. PLAY Plays the inserted cassette tape. Records on the inserted cassette tape.

    Tape Mode Recording From The Radio Once the cassette tape is ready and inserted you will need to setup the radio. Make sure the function switch is set to ‘RADIO’ and fully extend the telescopic aerial. Tune the radio into the station you want to record and make sure the signal is as clear as you can get it.

    Tape Mode Recording From A Bluetooth Source Once the cassette tape is ready and inserted you will need to setup the radio. Make sure the function switch is set to ‘ /MUSIC. In this mode you will be able to record from a bluetooth connected device like a smart phone or tablet.

    /Music Mode In this mode you can play music from a SD/MMC card, a USB stick or a compatible bluetooth device. In this mode the LED light will quickly until it is paired with a device or a SD/MMC/USB storage device has been connected.

    Pairing A Bluetooth Source When the radio is this mode, the bluetooth function is automatically in pairing mode. Search for “MAXTEK” on the available device list and select it on your device that you want to pair to the radio. There is no security code and the unit will pair up straight away.
