    Please take caution - the board operates at 405V DC and is directly plugged into the power network. Operating this Board requires an isolated transformer! The EVA4201/4301 was designed to help understand and evaluate the features of two Power Factor Correction IC`s. Used external devices are standard components chosen for safe operation and do not represent a completely fine-tuned OEM application.

Figure 1: Input Filter The capacitor C following the bridge rectifier provides the peak current and reduces the voltage ripple. This is typical for a 330nF or for a 470nF capacitor.
