Zones cannot be removed without completely clearing the
Receiver memory. Follow Step 3-2 above to remove all
wireless zones and then reinstall the new arrangement.
4. If You Want to Add a Zone
Zones may be added without losing the memory of existing
zones. Follow procedure listed in Step 3-1 above for zones to
be added.
Step 4—Verification of Installed Zones
1. Remember that the entire wireless zone installation process
must be completed within 10 minutes of the time power is
turned on. If there is a question about the time, remove power
and then turn it back on to restart 10-minute timer.
2. Wait 5 minutes to allow all sensors to transmit new tempera-
ture information. Then look for the presence of wireless zones
at the User Interface. Press NEXT ZONE button on User
Interface to advance from zone to zone. All existing zones will
appear in sequence in ZONE X display where X is the zone
number. Each of the wireless zones should exist and its
temperature and set points should be displayed.
3. If Zone Does Not Exist
If wireless zone does not exist, i.e., its zone number is skipped
over, it has not been successfully installed. Try reinstalling
that zone, following Steps 3-1-a through 3-1-h above.
4. If "--" Appears in the Display
If "--" appears in zone temperature display for that zone, the
zone exists but zone temperature data is not valid or is not
being received. Wait another 5 minutes. If "--" still shows, the
Wireless Sensor for that zone is not transmitting properly.
Check its battery again for polarity and good contact. If it still
does not work, the transmitter or battery is bad and should be
replaced. If the transmitter is replaced, the installation proce-
dure for that zone only must be repeated.
5. Finally, return all zone sensors to their proper zones. Be sure
to not get them mixed up. The internal rotary switch setting
must correspond properly to the zone in which it is located.
Install covers on all sensors and Receiver. The system is now
ready for operation.

BATTERY LIFE
The sensor battery is designed to operate for approximately 4
years. When it does fail, the temperature indication for that zone
will be "--" and its zone's damper will close. The failure of the
battery will not cause the system to lose information for that zone.
When the battery is replaced, that zone will operate properly with
no additional setup.
LOSS OF POWER
If electrical power is interrupted in a system with Wireless
Sensors, no special action must be taken when power is restored.
All needed zone information is stored in non-volatile memory in
the zoning system, and proper operation will automatically re-
sume.
BATTERY REPLACEMENT
The replacement battery is a type 123, size 2/3 A, 3V, 1.3 Ahrs.
lithium battery. This battery is available at local retail establish-
ments. Acceptable replacement manufacturers and part numbers
are: Panasonic CR-123A, Energizer EL-123AP, Duracell
DL123A, and Radio Shack CR123.
SHIELDED CABLE
Shielded cable is not needed, but it may be used for connection
between Receiver and Equipment Controller. If it is used, connect
shield to G terminal at Equipment Controller and leave it open at
Receiver end.
