    INSPECTION AFTER ASSEMBLING Basic requirement for cooking is to maintain the close contact of inner pot bottom with heater plate and thermostat. As the JAR RICE COOKER is of direct heating type, when the temperature of inner pot bottom reaches C to 149 C, the thermostat will operate to provide change-over to warm-keeping automatically.

    SIMPLIFIED TESTING METHOD In case satisfactory cooking of rice is not accomplished (excessively overdone or underdone), conduct the temperature test in accordance with the following procedure. Simplified Testing Method (Simulated Rice-Cooking) 1. Testing conditions a. Power voltage 220V. b. Fill inner pot with 180 ml. of water. (Water temperature to be the same as ambient temperature.) c.

KS-R23S/ST Note : As this test is nothing but a simplified procedure, it should be noted that operating time varies depending on different conditions such as difference between water temperature and ambient temperature, variations in the quantity of water, etc.
  • Page 15 In case the warm-keeping temperature does not conform to the above temperature standard, replace the warm-keeping TRS in accordance with the after-mentioned reparing procedure. Warm-keeping temperature : 70 C to 76 (Check this temperature immediately after opening the lid as the reading on the thermometer drops very quickly.) Allow the bar-type thermometer to float above the pot bottom using a fragment of packing case, etc.

    PRECAUTIONS FOR WARM-KEEPING TO GET TASTY RICE Help yourself to the tasty rice under the proper use and maintenance of JAR RICE COOKER Major Trouble Recommended Use and Maintenance Drying Smelling Dewing Sticking (Cautionary Instructions) Discoloring Before cooking, wash rice thoroughly.
