You can connect your phone to a computer and use your phone's USB tethering function to
share your phone's mobile data connection with the computer. If the computer runs Windows
7, Windows Vista, or a latest Linux OS (such as Ubuntu), you can use your phone's USB
tethering function without configuring any settings on the computer. If the computer runs an
earlier Windows or Linux OS, or another type of OS, you may need to install some
configuration files before you use your phone's USB tethering function.
2.10.1 How Do I Use USB Tethering If I Connect My
Phone to a Computer Running Windows XP?
NOTE
Before using tethering, insert your SIM card in the phone.
You can use the following methods to connect your phone to a computer running Windows
XP:
1. Use a USB cable to connect your phone to the computer.
2. On the computer, open My Computer, and open Mobile Partner.
3. In the Mobile Partner window, open drivers.
