    General Information 1.1 - IMPORTANT SAFETY GUIDELINES Before connecting the equipment to the supply voltage, read the following Safety Guidelines, in order to protect yourself and the equipment from any serious danger. • Read all the instructions for the installation, before connecting the supply voltage and alarm cable.
  • Page 6: Mechanical Installation

    ’ 1.2 - MECHANICAL INSTALLATION No special precautions are necessary for the mechanical installation. The equipment must be installed on a perfectly flat surface, stable and devoid of vibrations, using the special "Dovetail" fixing system (Figure 2). The case has an IP65 degree of protection (totally protected against dust and jets of water).

    ’ 1.3 - CONNECTIONS The equipment is connected by two connectors of the series MS/MIL - C5015 (see Figure 3). The 5 pole connector, identified by a blue label with the word SENSOR written on it, is meant for connecting the sensors extension cable, identified by a blue colored band.

    ’ 1.4 - REPLACEMENT OF THE FUSE Before starting to replace the fuse, try to find out the possible causes which could have caused the break (short circuits in the power wires of the equipment, humidity, breakdown of electronic components inside the equipment, ect.). Proceed with the replacement of the fuse, using one having the same characteristics, after having identified the cause of the break.

    ’ 1.5 - MAINTENANCE The weighing systems for mixer wagons do not require special maintenance operations. However, in order to prevent problems in running or breakdowns, it is advisable to carry out the following operations periodically: • Check the perfect running of the power wires outside the equipment; also check for the presence of oxides or humidity at the connection points.

    ’ 1.6 - GENERAL SAFETY GUIDELINES This equipment has been tested and resulted conform with the requirements of the Directive 89/336/EEC on the Electro-magnetic Compatibility, and with the requirements of the Directive 90/384/EEC on the Non-Automatic Weighing Instruments. As regards 89/336/EEC, the equipment results in accordance with the limits imposed for environments of the light industry and for residential and commercial environments.

    If the Switching-On/Off Method Preference has been programmed in Automatic, the equipment automatically switches on by powering it. 3. The display shows the writing [ SEKO WELCOME ] or the message set in the Welcome Message Preference. The equipment enters the Manual Weighing Activity.

    ’ 2.3 - ALPHANUMERIC WRITING OF NAMES AND NUMBERS The Alphanumeric Writing of Names and Numbers allows to program letters and numbers, using the keys q or z (e), for a simple programming of names or numbers relevant to the Recipes, Ingredients, Pens, etc. The Alphanumeric Writing is activated pressing the key 2FN.
  • Page 17 ’ 2.4 - RECIPE PROGRAMMING ACTIVITY The Recipe Programming Activity allows to display and program the Recipes, or to select the Recipe to be executed in the Recipe Execution Activity. The operating mode of the Recipe Programming Activity is determined by the programming, in the Technical Procedures, of the following Preferences: Unit, Decimal Point, Recipes and Ingredients Number, Date Format, Reciping Mode.
  • Page 18 ’ 1. At the Switching-On the equipment automatically enters the Manual Weighing Activity. The display shows the symbol MAN. and the writing [ MANUAL ]. To select the Recipe Programming Activity press the key Prog./Start for 2 seconds. If instead the Activity at Switching-On Preference has been programmed in Automatic, the equipment directly enters the Recipe Programming Activity at the Switching-On, displaying the symbol PROG.
  • Page 19 ’ 7. If you want to program the Ingredient Name (max. 6 alphanumeric characters), press the key 2FN for 2 seconds and use the Alphanumeric Writing. If a new Ingredient Name is created, it is automatically stored in the Ingredient Name File, too. If the File is full, the display shows for 2 seconds the error [ ERR- 27 ] and the Ingredient Name is stored neither in the current Ingredient nor in the Ingredient Name File.
  • Page 20 ’ 2.5 - RECIPE EXECUTION ACTIVITY The Recipe Execution Activity allows to perform the previously programmed Recipes in the Recipe Programming Activity. The selection of the Recipe to be executed is made in the Recipe Programming Activity. The operating mode of the Recipe Execution Activity is determined by the programming, in the Technical Procedures, of the following Preferences: Display Resolution, Unit, Decimal Point, Date Format, Language, Reciping Mode, Automatic Zero-Tracking, Prealarm Threshold, Queue Time, Weight Displaying.
  • Page 21 ’ 4. Start the Ingredient load or unload. The display shows the weight decrease, indicating the weight that is still to be loaded or unloaded to reach the programmed value. When the displayed value reaches 15% (Prealarm) of the programmed weight value, the display shows the blinking symbol Alarm, while the equipment activates intermittently the alarm output.

  • Page 23 ’ 2.6 - MANUAL WEIGHING ACTIVITY In the Manual Weighing Activity, it is possible to carry out loading and unloading operations, without having to program any values previously. The possibility of displaying, besides the Total Weight, also the Net Weight, makes it possible to load and unload an unlimited number of Ingredients.

    ’ 2.7 - WEIGHING ACTIVITY BY PRESET In the Weighing Activity by Preset it is possible to program the weight value of a single Ingredient. In this way, programming one Ingredient at a time, it is possible to execute a Recipe with an unlimited number of Ingredients. The Weighing Activity by Preset can be performed only by the Manual Weighing Activity.

To interrupt the Weighing Activity by Preset, press the key Man./Zero to return to the Manual Weighing Activity, or the key Prog./Start to return to the Recipe Programming Activity.

    Functions 3.1 - PROGRAMMED TOTAL MODIFYING In the Recipe Programming Activity the Programmed Total Modifying Function allows to increase or decrease the Programmed Total Weight in the Recipe by Totals, thus varying proportionally the programmed weight of the single Ingredients.     ’ 3.2 - NO-LOAD TARE In the Recipe Programming Activity or in the Manual Weighing Activity, the execution of the No-Load Tare Function allows to display the weight net of the mechanical structure of the mixing carriage in the three weighing Activities. If operations are made, that can modify its weight, it is necessary to perform a new No-Load Tare.

    ’ 3.3 - WEIGHT BLOCK In the Recipe Execution Activity, in the Manual Weighing Activity and in the Weighing Activity by Preset, the Weight Block Function allows to lock the value of the weight shown on the display. This Function is very important when it is necessary to move the mixing carriage during the loading or unloading operations, as this movement can cause errors in the weight detection.

    ’ 3.4 - INGREDIENT JUMP In the Recipe Execution Activity, the Ingredient Jump Function allows not to execute the Ingredient shown on the display, but to select the Ingredient to be loaded or unloaded; therefore, it is possible to execute a whole Recipe without following the order by which the Ingredients have been stored or to load/unload the same Ingredient several times.

    ’ 3.5 - TARGET WEIGHT RESTORE In the Recipe Execution Activity, the Target Weight Restore Function allows to restore on the display the programmed value of the displayed Ingredient. The Target Weight Restore Function is used when the displayed weight is different from the programmed value, without having loaded or unloaded any Ingredient.

    ’ 3.6 - SPECIAL FUNCTION MENU The Special Function Menu allows to have access to the various available Functions simply and rapidly.     ’ 3.6.1 - SKIP TO THE NEXT INGREDIENT [JUMP] In the Recipe Execution Activity, the Skip to the Next Ingredient Function allows to choose if the skip to the next Ingredient occurs in Automatic or Manual mode. Choosing the Automatic mode, at the end of the Queue Time, the equipment positions automatically on the next Ingredient, while choosing the Manual mode, when the Queue Time expires, the equipment continues to display the weight referred to the loaded or unloaded Ingredient.

    ’ 3.6.2 - MIXING TIME [ TIMER ] The Mixing Time Function allows to manage a timer with interval that can be programmed from 0 to 60 minutes, used to check the mixing of the loaded Ingredients. The Mixing Time Function can be programmed in the Recipe Programming Activity and in the Manual Weighing Activity, while the execution is active in all Activities.

    ’ 3.6.3 - INGREDIENT USAGE CHECK [ USAGE ] In the Recipe Programming Activity, the Ingredient Usage Check Function allows to display the exact usage of the Ingredients loaded in the Recipe Execution Activity, automatically storing the name and the value loaded and actually weighed of each single Ingredient, from the Date of the Ingredient Usage Last Reset to the current date.

    ’ 3.6.4 - DATE PROGRAMMING [ DATE ] The Date Function allows to display and program the inner calendar of the equipment. To choose the Date Function, operate as described here below: 1. On the display, select the Function [ DATE ] and confirm by the key OK. 2.

    ’ 3.6.7 - CLEARING OF THE INGREDIENT NAME FILE [ NAME ] The Clearing of the Ingredient Name File Function allows to clear an Ingredient from the File. The Ingredient Name File is able to store up to 1500 different names of Ingredients.

    ’ 3.6.8 - SUPPLY VOLTAGE CHECK [ BAT.LEV. ] The Supply Voltage Check Function allows to acknowledge the value of the equipment Supply Voltage meant by tenths of Volt. Since normally the equipment is supplied by a battery, often problems related with the battery charge/discharge originate.
