Section 2 – Setup & Installation 2.1 – Setup NOTICE: THIS MODEL MACHINE IS FOR INDOOR USE ONLY. Inspect for any connectors or components that may have been dislodged during shipping. The lock and keys for your changer will be inside the manila envelope along with this manual and other pertinent information.
TEST: Before permanently installing the machine, do a functional test to verify that there is no shipping damage to your new changer. Install and connect the battery as shown in the below picture. The machine is preset to accept $1 and $5 U.S. dollar bills and pay out 4 coins per dollar (unless otherwise specified at the time of purchase).

Bill Validator This model machine is sold with a Pyramid Acceptors Inc brand Trilogy stackerless validator. 3.2 Functional Description 1. Dispense The machine can only dispense coins. 2. Payment The machine accepts payment in the form of paper currency only. 3. Sleep/Wake After initialization, the machine enters “Sleep” mode. This is to Mode conserve power. The machine will exit “Sleep” mode when one of the 3 buttons located under the LCD display are pressed or when a bill is inserted into the bill validator.
3.4 – Configuring the Machine Unless specified at the time of purchase the machine will need to be configured for your payout prior to being used. Detailed below is a step by step process on how to configure the AC401-2. Configuration Sequence 1.

D. Select the desired pulse number (01-07) by using the “Up ” and “Down ” buttons. Pressing the “Select” button advances you to the next screen. Note: This number must match the number of pulses sent by the bill validator. F. The next screen is the “Denom” screen. On this screen a denomination will be assigned to the selected pulse number. Use the “Up ” and “Down ” buttons to adjust the denomination value. When done press the “Select” button to save the settings. Figure 10 2.

D. Using the “Down “ button navigate to the denomination you wish to setup a payout for. Press the “Select” button to advance to the next screen. Figure 13 E. The next screen is the “Increm” screen. This setting controls what the next screen’s value increments by.

F. The next screen is the “Value L” (ccTalk Hopper) screen. Using the “Up “ and “Down “ buttons change the number shown to indicate the value of the coin being dispensed from “HopperL”. Pressing the “Select” button will advance you to the next screen. Figure 15 G.
3.5 – Out-of-Service Conditions & Error Codes System Below are conditions that will cause the machine to go into an Failures “Out-of-Service” mode. If the unit is in sleep mode when an error occurred, the fail lamp will flash indicating that an error occurred. If the error is not cleared and a bill is inserted, the validator will not accept the bill and the fail lamp will have a stronger flash.

4.2 – Coin Hopper Maintenance Suzo Evolution Hopper Removal of the Electronics and Opto Sensor Board All the electronics and sensors are placed on one board located behind the exit door at the side of the hopper. Slide the yellow button to the opposite position and remove the exit door where the electronics are mounted.
