Possible causes for the bill validator stopping after a few vends while still accepting coins and credit cards include:

1. Prices / Tube Cash Conditions: The bill validator may stop working if the coin tubes are not properly filled. Check and fill the coin tubes.
2. Communication Error: If there is a "No Comms" error listed in the diagnostics menu, there may be a communication issue between the validator and the system.
3. Bill Validator Reported Errors: The validator may have reported an error preventing it from functioning correctly. Check the diagnostics menu for error messages.
4. Harness or Atlas Board Issues: A faulty validator harness or an issue with the Atlas board could interrupt bill acceptance. Inspect and replace the necessary components if needed.

To resolve the issue, check the coin tubes, review the diagnostics menu for communication errors, and inspect the validator harness and Atlas board for faults.
