BEFORE YOU START Before you use your Cross DVR you will do the following: • Plug your DVR into your PC • Charge it fully • Download time files from www.SafetyBasement.com • Set your timestamp on the DVR CONNECT YOUR CROSS TO PC Use the included USB cable.

CONNECT YOUR CROSS DVR TO When you connect your DVR, on many Windows computers, a pop up window will appear called AUTOPLAY. This is normal. Just choose OPEN FOLDER as shown. Your DVR will appear as an External or Removable Drive with a drive letter, such as E:.

DOWNLOAD FILES Go to the same section you downloaded this user manual Right-click on the SETTINGTIMETOOL file, and choose SAVE LINK AS, or SAVE TARGET AS... Save the file to your DVR, as shown in this example. In the same areas as the folders Once you have saved this file there, double click it, in its new location, and that should sync the time with your computer time.
RECORDING VIDEO POWER ON/OFF VIDEO BUTTON MODE switch Camera (see notes!) • Before turning unit ON, make sure the MODE switch is set to V (for Video). POWER ON & Start Recording Video - Press and release the power button. An ORANGE light will come on then settle on a steady BLUE.
