    When operating, portions of your Fuel Outdoor Pizza Oven get hot enough to cause warning severe burns. Never leave children or pets unattended when oven is in use and never allow anyone to sit or stand on oven. Also do not try and remove any portion of the oven, including the hood, when oven is on or while it is cooling down.

Do not obstruct any of the openings on the oven or obstruct the flow of combustion and ventilation air. Do not build the oven into any structure that is closer than 6 inches from the sides and back, and 12 inches from the top.

The standard safety device on tanks is the safety relief valve. This valve ventilates propane gas vapors to relieve excess pressure.

    pizza oven controls lower burner control knob Controls the height of the flame on the burner below the cooking deck. upper burner control knob Controls the height of the flame on the burner at the rear of the cooking deck. On HIGH, this flame is visible above the Cooking Deck.

    before cooking perform a quick safety check before you use the pizza oven Clean and inspect the gas hose for wear, cuts, and/or leaks and if found do not use the oven. The hose should be replaced before attempting to use the oven if any defect is found. Replace the hose assembly with the specified type by John Michael Kitchens.
  • Page 18 while cooking Never attempt to move the oven while it is in use or when it is hot. Never attempt to empty the crumb tray while the oven is on or still hot. The tray and its contents become very hot while the oven is in use and can cause serious burns.

Make sure the LOWER BURNER and UPPER BURNER control knobs are in the OFF position. Turn the main gas supply on. If lighting both burners, light the LOWER BURNER first.

    burner adjustments if a burner is not operating properly it may be due to variations in the gas supply or because of an obstructed air shutter or orifice flames should be stable without lifting from the burner upper burner flame properties The flame should be predominantly orange and clearly visible at the back of the oven.

The oven should not be used until the problem is resolved.   • Page 24 burner adjustments ONTINUED cleaning the air shutter It is possible to visually inspect the air shutter from below without dismantling the unit. The air shutter is located directly behind the control valve for that burner. Turn off the gas supply shutoff valve or close the main valve on the LP cylinder. Ensure the oven control knobs are in the OFF position.
