Introduction The Swisscom DECT/Rousseau Repeater offers a range of up to 300 meters outdoor and of up to 50 meters indoor and allows you to increase the coverage range and to improve reception quality in remote areas for Rousseau and DECT products in any environment, whether it be in your home or office.

    • Conversation encryption is not supported when using the repeater. • Handset software updates are only possible on the base station. • The repeater can not be registered to the Swisscom Internet-Box. Placement To get the best operation conditions for the repeater, it is important to place it correctly: Choose a raised position with good base station reception.

    Multiple repeaters Up to 2 repeaters can be registered to the base station, in order to extend its range. This allows to extend the base station range in multiple directions – including up and down (eg. to cover several floors in a building). If the repeaters are placed correctly (overlapping the coverage area of the base station, or from another repeater), you can go from one area (cell) to the other while speaking on the handset.
  • Page 8 Repeater Base Repeater To setup a proper star configuration: • First place the base at the location where you are conducting most of the calls. • Register all the repeaters and then switch them off. • Then, going to the direction where you want to extend the range for, walk with the handset until you reach the range limit.
