• You MUST read this Guide and all Footwear Safety, Cleaning, and Information labels
before wearing.
• Burns are a function of time and temperature. First degree skin burns can occur when skin
reaches a temperature of as low as 118 degrees F.
• Fire burns at temperatures up to 2000 degrees F or higher.
• This Footwear provides limited protection against heat and flame. While wearing this Footwear,
you may be burned without heat sensation or warning in some circumstances, and without any
sign of damage to the Footwear.

  • Page 21 FIRE CHARACTERISTICS 10.2 FIRES ARE INHERENTLY DANGEROUS, UNPREDICTABLE ENVIRONMENTS Temperatures can range upwards of more than 2000° F in a matter of seconds. It is important to understand these conditions in order to maximize your protection and to understand the limited ability of your Footwear to protect you from all hazards that may be present in a fire.
