Page 30: The Water And Salt
To run the pump with salt on the bottom can cause permanent damage to the pump. Floataway recommend the mixing of the salt to be done with the Float Pool turned off. Continue to run the pump to heat the water until it reaches approximately 35.5 degrees C which is the set point. -
Page 31: Troubleshooting Common Problems
When the salt is completely mixed, this effect disappears but can recur when more salt is added. If the tank is left in pump mode, the regular pumping will prevent this effect by mixing the salty layer.
