3. 2. 5. 1 . Tuning F R E Q U E N C Y ; demounting
- Remove the wi ndow of the scal e by removing the 5 screws C ( F ig . 37).
- Now the bal l-cord, return sheave, poi nter and d rive, w h ich contai n s a s l ip friction c l u tch
replaced. The i nd icator can then a lso be replaced. The d rive can be p u l l ed from the a x i s by loose n i ng the
grub screw; however, f i rst remove the bal l-cord.
3. 2. 5.2. T u n i n g F R E Q U E N C Y ; mounting

Bring the tu n i ng capacitor a nd the sl i p friction c lutch to the l eft stop; fix the
necessary.

Check the state of the bal l -cord with respect to the d rive, or fix a new
second bal l i s located next to the d raw-spring in the lower sav ing of the d r ive ( F ig . 3 7 ).
- Adjust the poi nter or press the poi nter-gu i d i ng on the bal l-cord and adjust it so, that the poi nter- l i n e at the
left-stop of the t u n i ng capacitor and s l i p friction clutch is positioned over the left pair of marks of the
aux i l i a ry marks l ocated at the l eft of the sca l es.
- Carry out the tu n i ng - left and right stops included - several t imes and check the poi nter adj ustment agai n;
adjust, if necessary
- Mount in reversed sequence.
3.3.
M a i nte n a nce

subject to wear.
However, to ensure rel iable and faultless operation, the i nstrument should not be exposed to m o i sture, heat,
corrosive vapours and excessive dust.
