Software Specifications of the EQUIPMENT The EQUIPMENT software was developed on a Linux Embedded 2.6.x platform. This operating system ensures high stability, high safety level, software complete control, real-time hardware control, and real-time processors control. The EQUIPMENT software is based on images, animations and strings. The navigation is intuitive, quick and efficient.
Foreword - EQUIPMENT 1.4.1 Upon receipt Upon receipt, check packing and product components for damage in the presence of the carrier. Liability for transport damage attaches to the forwarding agent or carrier. Report any damage, giving details of the nature and severity of the damage, in the shipping document and file a claim against forwarding agent or carrier.
1.4.5 Description of the EQUIPMENT 1.4.5.1 Connector identification The self-diagnosis module features the following ports: “Diagnosis” 26-pin high-density D connector for connection to vehicle ECU. 1.4.5.2 Power supply The EQUIPMENT incorporates a rechargeable battery that ensures operation and power- It may also be powered from one of the following sources: • Diagnostic cable (Standard) • 220 - 240Volt AC power supplier (Optional extra) 1.4.5.3 Battery installation or replacement The Equipment comes with the batteries installed in the battery compartment and ready for use.
1.4.6 Description of keyboard On key Press this button for switching-on the Equipment. This button should never be used to power off the equipment – doing so could corrupt the SD card. Escape key This button is used for cutting the communication with the vehicle.

Installation and preliminary operations The EQUIPMENT requires no particular installation procedure. Important Before powering on the display for the first time, make sure you have the User Password supplied by the Manufacturer handy or Dealer. Note If you experience any problems with installation, please read the manual section that discusses Troubleshooting 1.5.1...
Equipment. You can power off the Equipment by using the same key. Do not try to turn off the equipment by pressing this button. 1.5.3 EQUIPMENT power-off To turn the SPe off, press the F Function button and follow prompts.

How to use the EQUIPMENT 1.6.1 How to start Warning: Before connecting the diagnosis connector to the vehicle system, ensure that the cable is the number specified by the software when selecting the ECU to be diagnosed. For correct vehicle diagnosis, all specifications of the system to be diagnosed must be selected correctly.

1.6.2.3.1 ON-LINE & OFF-LINE Mode ON-LINE Mode: is being used when a Vehicle is linked to the Equipment though the Diagnostic Cable and the connection has been established. In this case is possible to take advantage of all the functions possible for the selected plant. The pages are the same for all the plants, but obviously the parameters will be different respect the plants selected.

OFF-LINE Mode: is used when the vehicle is not present and consequently the tool is not connected to any vehicle’s ECU through a Diagnostic Cable. In this case the OFF-LINE Mode is very useful because is always possible to see the Technical Notes regarding the selected vehicle.

Troubleshooting 1.7.1! Problems during operation Problem: After a vehicle is selected correctly, the Equipment shows message :“Warning, password used for updating is wrong” Solution The registration or update procedure has been omitted or was not successful because the password for another BBAD self-diagnosis module was used. Check your ID and Password Repeat the update procedure.
Warranty information. Warranty Coverage Sykes-Pickavant (SP) warrants the Product for 12 (Twelve) Months starting from the date of the Product’s activation or the date of the original purchase turning out by the Purchase Documents. Any operation performed under the Warranty Period, doesn’t extend the Expiry date of the Warranty.
