    The SPRINT™ system uses a single infl ation point to connect your high volume, two way Cabrinha pump. As you pump your kite with air, all struts and your leading edge infl ate quickly and simultaneously to the desired pressure. The supplied leash pump and threaded valve connection keeps your kite under control even when pumping up directly in the wind.
  • Page 17 SETUP INFLATION BASICS See the section on Kite Care before inflating your kite. • Unroll your kite with the struts facing up. • Make sure your back is to the wind and that the leading edge of the kite is closest to your body.

  • Page 19 SETUP TIPS FOR SECURING YOUR KITE • Never leave an infl ated kite unattended on the beach for a long period of time. Winds may shift or change and the kite may become unsecured and fl y off. • Always secure your kite with sand, using more weight than you think you need.

    TUNING CABRINHA 2018 KITE 2018 Switchblade, 2018 Chaos, 2018 Drifter, 2018 FX, 2018 Contra and 2018 Radar offer 2 settings for depower travel and turning impulse. This is dependent on the attachment position of the rear bridle line and pulley.
  • Page 22 TUNING DRIFTER TUNING The 2018 Cabrinha Drifter kite also offers two different settings for wind/wave conditions. In the Onshore/Sideshore setting, the kite will sit further back in the window, allowing for maximum slack line drift. The Rear V bridle is attached to both of the lower connections on the LE.
  • Page 23 TUNING FX TUNING The 2018 FX Kite has three tuning FREERIDE KITELOOP options for riding styles. FREESTYLE Freestyle This setting provides the maximum slack in the kite for unhooked tricks. Kiteloop This is the stock setting for powered kiteloops. Freeride This provides maximum power delivery.
  • Page 24 REPAIRS MAJOR TEARS For a major tear in the kite fabric, consult your dealer for a reputable kite repair loft. To find a Cabrinha dealer in your area, please go to: http://www. cabrinhakites.com/dealers.html FIG 1 MINOR TEARS For a minor tear in the kite fabric, you may repair the tear with kite repair tape.
  • Page 25 REPAIRS Go to the base of the sleeve and gently pull the bladder out of the sleeve. Detach the flying line and leave it in the FIG 6 sleeve. Having the flying line through the sleeve will allow you to easily replace the bladder once it is repaired. Slide the air clip back onto the inflation tube.

    REPAIRS REPAIRING LEADING EDGE BLADDERS FIG 1 First, lay the kite out with the struts facing up. Each end of the Leading Edge (LE) bladder is folded over and secured with a Velcro closure. You will also find a zipper access pocket at the center of the LE. Undo each Velcro closure and unzip the center access pocket.

    GLOSSARY FREQUENTLY USED KITEBOARDING & WIND TERMINOLOGY CENTERLINE ADJUSTMENT STRAP (CAS) Used to depower the kite by changing the relationship between the front and back line lengths. It is also used to position the bar closer to the rider. CONTROL BAR SPRINT TUBES The steering device the rider uses to steer the kite.
