Purchase Cards with chip must in principle be authorised on this terminal via the chip. In the case of a reading error, the terminal will automatically prompt you to retrieve the data by swiping the magnetic strip reader, provided the bank has enabled the card for this. In the case of credit cards with chip the decision is first made during the booking as to whet- her the customer confirms the payment with signature or PIN number.
