1. After unboxing the unit, you will first want to set the date and time.
Turn the unit on using the power button on the side of the unit. Once
powered on, press the silver button to the left of the screen labeled
MENU. There are 4 sub-menus designated by icons at the bottom of
the settings screen. Toggle the sub-menu by pressing the button on
bottom right labeled SOS until the "wrench" icon is highlighted in
yellow. Use the DOWN button on the left to select Clock Settings and
press the OK button. To change the numbers push the UP and DOWN
buttons and press OK to move to the next section. NOTE: The camera
uses a 24 hour clock format. When finished, highlight OK at the bottom
of the screen and press the OK button again to save your changes.
2.Attach the suction cup mount to the camera by inserting the square
connector at the end of the mount into the square hole on the top of
the camera and then slide it over. It's a tight fit to keep the camera
securely in place so it may require a firm push to slide it into place.
3.Mount the camera to your windshield by placing the suction cup
on the window and then pressing the engage lever down. The
recommended placement is in the center below your rear view mirror.
Be sure the windshield is clean and dry and attach it in a place where
it does not obstruct your view of the road. You can release the suction
cup to remove it by lifting the engage lever and then pulling the clear
tab.
4.Next, connect the power cable to the camera by plugging the small
micro USB end into the camera on the top left hand side. The other
end goes into your car's DC power port. Please note it is a tight fit, so
press firmly to fully seat the plug. The camera should remain plugged
in while in use. It is not designed to run on battery power alone. The
camera comes with a long cable so you can install it under the cars
headliner. It's recommended that you run it to the right along the pas-
senger's side of the vehicle so the cord does not obstruct the view or
mobility of the driver.
5.The camera is ready to go. Once powered on, you can use the OK
button to start and stop the recording. When recording, you will see a
flashing red dot and the word REC at the top of the screen. When in
standby, you will see STBY in green.
