- Page 7 FlashCut CNC Universal Retrofit Kit Lathe Preparation: 1) First verify that the lathe is unplugged and free of any debris. 2) Begin by removing the control panel. a. Remove the selector knobs by punching out the pins. b. Remove the 11 screws holding the control panel to the lathe. Save the screws to mount a replacement panel in later steps.
