Two mobile phone SIM cards capable of sending SMS messages over the GSM network will be needed. One to install in the BS-3000 for it to upload guard tour data, the other to install in the mobile phone network modem connected to the computer so it can receive the guard tour data.

The number carried by the SIM card installed inside the mobile phone network modem that is connected to the computer must be stored into the BS-3000, so that it will know where to send the guard tour data it has collected.

Remote Setup (this can be done after MessageCenter has received at least one SMS message from the BS-3000. When this is done, the number carried by the SIM card inside the BS-3000 will be stored by MessageCenter and becomes selectable) Make sure the BS-3000 is turned on.

2002S, please place its reading head between the status lights, and set its top flush against the inside edge of the BS-3000. If there is data that needs to be transferred from the reader to the BS-3000, the blue LED light on the BS-3000 will start flashing rapidly, indicating that data is being transferred.
Troubleshooting During Local Setup, the MessageCenter indicates that the number has not been stored properly. Shut down and restart MessageCenter and try again. The BS-3000 may have been going through the initialization process while MessageCenter tried to store the number.
