Step 1
1. Open the box and check to be sure that all of the components are there.
Contents listed below:
a. DMS main unit. (By far the largest component in the box.)
b. Four power supplies with four power cords that plug into them. -For the
in-wall amplifiers that come with the system. They are approx 5"x1"x2".
(They say "Condor" on the top)
c. One power supply for the DMS main unit. Approx. 3.5"x2"x2". Also
Says "Condor" on the top.
d. Four in-wall amplifier stereo controllers (They are in blue casings with
buttons on them to control the input devices or they just have a single IR
remote receiver.
e. Four face plates for the in-wall amplifiers.
Step 2
2. Plug in your input devices as shown on Diagram 1. The input devices plug
into the RCA inputs on the back of the DMS encoder. –The RCA inputs are
coded red & white and are off-center on the right-hand side. They say "Audio 2,
Audio 3, and Audio 4. (Audio 1 is the built-in tuner or one of the other inputs...)
Be sure that you match the RCA plug on the right (usually coded red) and the
RCA plug on the left (usually black or white) with the right and left channels on
the DMS RCA inputs. If you get them backwards your right and left channels will
be reversed. It is most important to be consistent when plugging in your RCA
jacks.
3. (Optional) You can plug in a video device as one of your inputs in the co-axial
input on the DMS. The input for this if off-center to the left on the DMS and says
"Video" just beneath it.
4. Connect the in-wall amplifiers to the DMS with category 5 (Cat 5) wires. The
four outputs are located on the far-right hand side of the DMS (looking at the
DMS from the back). They say: Zone 1Zone 2, Zone 3, and Zone 4. Each zone
can be run to a separate room with the Cat-5 wires. There is one zone for each in-
wall amplifier. The separate in-wall amplifiers can each be placed up to 250 feet
from the DMS without risking degradation of the signal.
5. If you already have an existing receiver of amplifier in any zone, an optional
"ECA-IR" unit (see diagram 1, middle right hand side of the illustration) can
