  • Page 18 - 18 4. SIM Card SIM Card provides additional services and functions besides making a call. These functions will only display and work on the menu of the phone if your SIM card supports them. Some menu may not be shown depending on the SIM card supplied. The content and the terms of the function lists will depend on your network service provider.

  • Page 20 - 20 B. Basic Usages 1. Power On/Off Power On Screen Power Off Screen To switch your phone On and Off, make sure that the battery is inserted. 1. Open the folder 2. To switch your phone on, press and hold down [END] until you hear the power-on melody. 3.

  • Page 35 - 35 3. Phonebook You can store the phone numbers and their corresponding names in the memory of your SIM card. In addition, you can store up to 200 numbers and names into your phone memory. The SIM card memory and phone memories are physically separated but they are searched as a single entity. To view your phonebook press the [Names soft key] in the idle screen.

Message 1.1 SMS 1.1.1 Write With this menu, you can write a text message of up to 160 alphanumeric characters, and then you can save and send the message. Input a text message and then press the [Option soft key]. In the Send menu, enter the recipient phone number on the Destination screen.
  • Page 39 - 39 If you press [Select soft key], you can see the message contents with a sender phone number and its arrival time by using [Navi_UP] and [Navi-DOWN]. If you select [Option soft key], following options are available. Delete: Allows you to delete the viewed message. Reply: Allows you to send a reply message to the sender of the viewed message.
  • Page 40 - 40 Available options are 1hour, 2hours, 1day, 1week, Max. 1.1.4.4 Reply Path This menu selects which Service Center Number is used, when the recipient of the sending message sends reply message to you. If you select On, the cost of the reply message is charged to your telephone bill, but you can receive the reply regardless of the recipient’s SMS subscription.
  • Page 41 - 41 When you start composing a message or add a new slide, the text field is selected and you can just start entering text. 1.2.1.2 Image You can add a single image to each MMS message slide. Select Add Image and you see the typical image list menu.
  • Page 42 - 42 The image is removed from the slide and the name of the image is replaced with the Add Image” option. 1.2.1.3 Sound You can add a single sound to each MMS message slide.  W hile composing a message, select Add Sound or the name of an existing sound.

It is used as a starting point for creating a final message so that the format and content does not have to be recreated each time it is used.

  • Page 46 - 46 1.4.3 Subject Setting This menu allows you to select the subject items of the broadcasted text message. Each item is identified by three digits index. Following table shows the default subject items your phone has. If the default subject items list has not the item you want or if the index or name of a default subject item is different from that of the network service provider, you can add or edit in User Define menu.
  • Page 47 - 47 2. Call Log Within this menu, you can identify all call records that you have dialed, received or missed. 2.1 Missed Calls This menu lets you view the last 10 missed calls. In the dialed calls list, you can make a call to the number by pressing [SEND] or you can view the details of the record or edit for saving in SIM or Phone by pressing the [Option soft key].

You can delete the record of All calls, Missed calls, Received calls, Dialed options. 2.5 Call Timers You can view the duration of the last call, or of all calls. Last Call: Allows you to check the duration of the last call.
  • Page 49 - 49 3. Settings 3.1 Alarm Clock This menu enables you to set a morning call alarm and enable or disable it. If an alarm is expired, a popup message is displayed and an alarm tone start ringing. 3.1.1 Set Alarm: This menu allows you to set an alarm time. Enter the hour and minute. 3.1.2 Off: This menu allows you to disable the alarm you set.

On: Activating the corresponding service. Off: Deactivating the corresponding service. 3.3 Calls Settings 3.3.1 Divert Calls This network service enables incoming calls to be rerouted to another number you specify.
  • Page 51 - 51 3.3.2 Answer Key You can set the answering call type when there is an incoming call. The following options are available. Folder open: In the normal mode of operation, you open folder to answer an incoming call. Any Key: You can answer an incoming call by pressing any key except the [End soft key]. Send key: You can answer an incoming call by pressing Send Key.
  • Page 52 - 52 3.4.4 Network: You can select the network which you will be registered either automatically or manually. Normally the selection of the network used by the handset is automatic. Automatic: The phone automatically selects network which is available in your area. Manual: The phone will find the list of available networks and show you them.

If Off, your phone will not be locked. 3.6.3 Call Barring The Call barring service prevents your phone from making and/or receiving certain categories of calls.
