Lifting car with car jack
The car should be jacked up only at the jack-
port points illustrated above and on pre-
ceding page (black arrows).
Caution: If work is to be done underneath
the vehicle, the car must be supported by
suitable chassis
stands or raised with a
workshop hoist.
Lifting car with workshop hoist
Make sure there is sufficient clearance be-
tween pads and vehicle, before driving car
on hoist. The car must only be lifted at the
lift pad points illustrated on preceding page
(white arrows).
The rear lifting points are located on the rear
axle control
arm
mount
(arrow).
Lifting car with floor jack
The same lifting points illustrated
hoist also apply when using a f l o o r jack. The
rear end of the car can also be lifted w i t h a
floor jack in the center of the rear suspen-
sion cross member. To avoid possible dam-
age, it is recommended to insert a block of
w o o d or a rubber pad between the f l o o r jack
and the lift point pads as illustrated above.
Caution: The vehicle should never be jacked
up from underneath the engine oil pan or
illustrated above
the transmission. Severe damage could re-
sult.
