THE CAMERA
Availability depends on the model shipped.
This section shows how to download Active Sync to your PC and the camera
application to the V38r device followed by some of the camera features.
Requirements
• The V38r Camera application works on a ViewSonic V38r Rugged Handheld
running on Microsoft Windows with CE.NET and Pocket PC 2003 Second
Edition
• 1.9 MB free space for the camera application
WARNING: If you remove the battery, you loose the camera application. Reinstall
the backup files from the SD card which includes the camera application and the
backup software.
Install Active Sync & the camera application
This step synchronizes your PC with the V38r device.
1 Put the ViewSonic Companion CD into the CD ROM
drive of your PC. The CD auto loads and a menu appears.
Select Active Sync.
2 Install ActiveSync or browse the ViewSonic
Companion CD to the ActiveSync folder and tap
setup.exe. A message appears about the file
downloading.
Not enough free space? Close all programs > re-start
your PC > download again. Temporary files will be deleted automatically from
your hard drive when installation is complete.
