  • Page 3 Digital Outputs There are totally 4 groups of digital outputs. Each is a relay that is able to sustain 1 A under 30 VDC or 0.3A under 125VAC. Both normal open (NO) and close(NC) contacts are provided to accommodate application needs. These relays are sufficient to provide direct control over normal house door electric lock, alarm and so on.
  • Page 4 RS-485 A standard RS-485 port is also available on the JP3 to constitute multi-station systems. Though it is simple and low cost, care must be taken to ensure proper operations. The rate is 125kbps. Compatible to CipherLAB 510, 520 and so on. Maximum network run length is 1000meters The connections must be in serial.

  • Page 6 RS-232 Connections: Make use of a 9-pin connector (DB-9) at PC end, and wire pins as follows: RS-485 Connections: Connections between every two terminals are set up through RS-485 interface. When more than two of the terminals are connected (as a multi-station system), a host only needs to connect to the first one terminal (master) and it can then communicate with the rest terminals (slave).

To setup RS485 connection, the communications cable must be wired as shown below: Now you will finished the wiring of the Terminals network.
