Your Freedom ICX-2 Keyboard Thank you for purchasing the Freedom i-Connex Keyboard. Before we proceed with installing the keyboard on your phone/PDA/Pocket PC let’s take a brief look at the hardware. 1) Bluetooth Pairing Reset: Used for putting the keyboard into pairing mode when it is first paired.
2) On your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch, go to “Settings". Then from the settings screen select “General”. 3) Now under the “General” settings select “Bluetooth”. Once your device finds the keyboard select “Freedom ICX-2 Keyboard” from the list.

4) Your device will now give you a 4 digit passkey. Enter this key onto the Freedom i-Connex and press enter to complete the pairing (also on the Freedom ICX-2). 5) Now go back to the “Settings” page and select “Keyboard”.

Shortcut Keys for the iPhone and iPad Switching input language: If you have defined more than one input language (Page 5, step 6) you can quickly switch between them using the keyboard shortcut combination below. 1) Press and hold the “Menu” key. 2) Press the “Space Bar”...
1) Turn the keyboard on and press the recessed pairing button down for 5 seconds. 2) On your Android Device, go to “Settings". Then from the settings screen select “Wireless and network”. 3) Now select “Bluetooth Settings”. Once your device finds the keyboard select “Freedom ICX-2” from the list.

Freedom ICX-2 and press enter to complete the pairing (also on the Freedom ICX-2). 5) Now your Freedom ICX-2 Keyboard will be connected. From this point forward you just need to switch the Freedom ICX-2 on and off when you need it. It will automatically reconnect when switched on.
6) Click on “Menu” and select “Add Device”. The phone will now search for nearby Bluetooth devices. 7) Once it has finished searching select “Freedom ICX-2 keyboard” from the list. Note the next step can vary depending on your phone (8a or 8b): 8a) The phone will now give you a passkey.
7) When prompted enter this passkey onto the keyboard and press enter (also on the keyboard). 9) Now your Freedom ICX-2 keyboard will be connected. From this point forward you just need to switch the keyboard on and off when you need it. It will automatically reconnect when switched on.
General Trouble shooting and FAQ. Q) My device is not seeing the keyboard when I’m trying to pair it. A) Please ensure the keyboard is turned on and that you have held down the recessed pairing button for at least 5 seconds. Also make sure that the Bluetooth LED on the keyboard is flashing.
