Safety Belt Reminder Light

If the driver's belt is still not buck-
led when the ignition is turned on,
a light will come on to remind you
to fasten your safety belts.

RESTRAINTS
CAUTION
A crash can damage the
restraint systems in your vehi-
cle. A damaged restraint system
may not properly protect the
person using it, resulting in seri-
ous injury or even death in a
crash.
Have the restraint systems
inspected after a collision.
Make any necessary replace-
ments as soon as possible.

Safety Belt Pretensioners

(If equipped)
Your vehicle may be equipped
with automatic safety belt preten-
sioners for each front seat. Preten-
sioners help the safety belts reduce
a person's forward movement in
the event of a moderate to severe
frontal collision.
Pretensioners work only once. If
the pretensioners are activated in a
collision, the pretensioners and
safety belts will need to be
replaced.
